Antique Hopi Native American Bowl from 1930’s by Lucy Tsie

This piece has wonderful color and wear, with well executed design. The remnants of the corn stalk signature and initials “s i e” are from a Native American potter named Lucy Tsie, who was active in the 1930’s. This bowl is a great example of the wonderful pottery from the Hopi tribe, made popular by the artist Nampeyo.
